The workers of a dye factory have their pay cut by 20% when the factory owner brings in some Manchu thugs to try and increase production. Desperate to reclaim their full wages, the workers hire an actor to impersonate a priest and kung-fu expert from the temple of Shaolin. The factory owner proves the actor a fraud, and punishes all those involved. The young actor feels he has let the workers down, and promises to atone. He sets out for Shaolin, determined to be accepted as a kung-fu pupil at the elite temple.

Ramprasad is a recent college graduate who finds a job with a finicky man, Bhavani Shankar, who believes that a man without a mustache is a man without a character. Bhavani Shankar is also against any of his employees indulging in recreation of any kind. When Ramprasad is caught by his boss at a soccer match, he has to invent a twin brother, the clean-shaven Laxman Prasad, to save his job. When Bhavani's daughter falls in love with the clean-shaven Laxman Prasad, and insists on marrying him, and Bhavani insists she should marry Ramprasad, things take a whacky turn. A fake mother and a hilarious chase are other enjoyable features involved in this comedy.

Trick: The Movie 2 (2006)

Ueda and Naoko accept to hear a proposal from a young man (Yuta Hiraoka) living in Fumo-mura village. The proposal is to bring back his childhood friend, Misako (Maki Horikita), who was taken away by a psychic, Hakogami Sawako (Nagisa Katahira), 10 years ago. Upon request, the pair head for Hakogami-jima where Hakogami lives. They succeed in bringing Misako back, however, it incurs the wrath of Hakogami and they are sucked into a situation that takes the pretense of a paranormal phenomenon. Naoko manages to see through the trick, and Sawako kills herself as a result. The incident reveals Sawako's sorrowful past as she was one of its victims as well.

In a valley, with a dense growth of trees, a baby is killed. The baby's mother Satomi Tachibana (Anne Suzuki) is arrested as the prime suspect. The police also learn that Satomi Tachibana is involved in a romantic relationship with her next door neighbor Shunsuke Ozaki (Shima Onishi). The neighbor's lover Kanako (Yoko Maki) has informed the police of this. Meanwhile, magazine reporter Watanabe (Nao Omori) covers the story. As Watanabe investigates the case, he discovers the shocking fact that Shunsuke Ozaki was involved in a rape case 15 years ago.
