Portrait of an artist as a young man. Roughly chronological, using archival footage intercut with recent interviews, a story takes shape of Bob Dylan's (b. 1941) coming of age from 1961 to 1966 as a singer, songwriter, performer, and star. He takes from others: singing styles, chord changes, and rare records. He keeps moving: on stage, around New York City and on tour, from Suze Rotolo to Joan Baez and on, from songs of topical witness to songs of raucous independence, from folk to rock. He drops the past. He refuses, usually with humor and charm, to be simplified, classified, categorized, or finalized: always becoming, we see a shapeshifter on a journey with no direction home.

In May 2011, G.E.M. became the youngest female artist to hold solo concerts at the Hong Kong Coliseum when she took to the prestigious stage at the age of 19. These landmark concerts also kicked off her Get Everybody Moving 2011 world tour, which brought her to Australia in August, back in Hong Kong for a second leg in September, Guangzhou and Macau in October, a limited theatrical run in Hong Kong in November, and Canada in December. Last year, Hong Kong singer Bianca Wu collaborated with a group of jazz musicians in New York on her well-received "Four Canto-pop Kings" cover album Jazz Them Up. She then held two solo concerts in January 2011 at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, backed by the same team of musicians known as the "New York Jazz Cats". Now this disparate lot must struggle at this unorthodox idea while dealing both the prejudice of the staff, Lola's discomfort in the small town and the selfish manipulation of Charles' greedy fiancée who cannot see the greater good in Charles' dream.

Their relationships are observed as they interact onstage as musicians and off stage as a tight knit family. Their approach to playing music is discussed and inter-cut with live concert footage showing this legendary Irish band close up and personal. Beautifully filmed by photographer Conor Masterson using ultra fast prime lenses ideal for low light, the live performance and fly on the wall documentary footage captures every detail.
