The Nude Vampire / La vampire nue (1970)
Horror
Horror director Jean Rollin followed up Le Viol du Vampire with this equally strange excursion into vampiric eroticism. The plot concerns a suicide cult led by a mysterious figure known as The Master. Oliver Martin is the hero, who tries to rescue pretty Caroline Cartier from the cult, only to find out that yet another group of vampires wants to save her too. There's people with reindeer heads, the usual artsy sex and violence, and a science-fiction subplot about a doorway to another dimension (as in the later Phantasm). Maurice Lemaitre and Bernard Musson co-star in this pretentious but enjoyable shocker.

Wang, a maintenance man at an Ocean Park-style water theme park, lives with his 20-year-old son, David. David suffers from autism and is unable to function independently in the outside world. He is a competent swimmer and regularly joins Wang at work, where he is allowed to play in the large aquariums with the dolphins, turtles and other tropical fish. However, when Wang discovers he has terminal cancer and only a matter of months left to live, he must help David assimilate into normal society, or risk him being incarcerated in a hellish mental asylum.

Events turn sour one night and Santos finds himself implicated in a triple homicide in an after-hours club. Santos cleans up the crime scene and starts the hunt for the only witness, who managed to escape. Following the trail of the fugitive witness, Santos discovers a complicated and sordid network of prostitution and drug trafficking that serves to finance a far more sophisticated criminal plan. He is back doing what he does best, although this time he is on his own. The official police investigation begins to tighten the net around him, but Santos has begun his own personal crusade: he finally has the chance to settle his own score.
