Being There / Chance (1979)

'Being There' is based on Jerzy Kosinski's short comic novel about a simpleton, Chance (Peter Sellers), raised in isolation whose only education came from watching TV. When he's forced out of the house where he worked as a gardener by the death of the wealthy recluse who raised him from infancy, he's fortuitously struck by a limousine carrying Eve Rand (Shirley MacLaine), the wife of a wealthy industrialist. He's mistaken, because of his well-tailored suits, for a man of means and taken to dinner with her husband, Ben Rand (Melvyn Douglas). There, as Chauncy Gardner, his blank affect is taken for seriousness and his literal pronouncements about gardening for metaphoric economic predictions. Soon he's meeting the president (Jack Warden) of the United States and becoming a star on TV–where he's a natural.

The Return of the Pink Panther (1975)

The Wonderful Musical Adventure Things are looking up for the woodcutter's lad named tom thumb. Of course, when you're a mere 5 1/2 inches tall, that's the only way things can look. The tiny hero overcomes hard luck and huge obstacles while saving his parents from harm in this beloved Best Special Effects Academy Award winner based on the brothers Grimm tale and produced and directed by trailblazing effects moviemaker George Pal. Russ Tamblyn plays the title role, bringing athletic enthusiasm to an imaginative story in which toys spring to life (but only for Tom!) and unoccupied shoes happily cavort. Peggy Lee composes two of the five songs. And Terry-Thomas and Peter Sellers provide gleeful villainy. Good things do indeed come in small packages.

The Millionairess (1960)

London-based Millionairess Epifania (Sophia Loren) is attracted to Dr. Kabir (MD from Delhi and PhD from Calcutta), who is more intent on treating patients. When she persists, he confides in her that he had made a commitment to his late widowed seamstress mother that he will wed any woman who will manage to survive on just Rs.500/-, for 90 days. She finds out that this sum is equivalent to just 35 shillings but readily accepts this challenge. She also informs him that her late father had also imposed a condition that she must wed a male who will turn £500 into £15000 within the same period. Epifania then finds employment with an Italian firm, ends up re-organizing, and turning up the firm's profits. At the end of 90 days, she goes to meet Kabir and discovers that he has not only given all the money away but also has no interest whatsoever in marrying her.

The Pink Panther diamond is stolen once again from Lugash and the authorities call in Chief Inspector Clouseau from France. His plane disappears en-route. This time, famous French TV reporter Marie Jouvet sets out to solve the mystery and starts to interview everybody connected to Clouseau. Each interviewee Dreyfus, Sir Charles & Lady Lytton (and ex-wife of Clouseau) & George Lytton, Hercule Lajoie (assistant in "A Shot In The Dark") and Cato tells of their run-ins with Clouseau. She is also kidnapped by mobster Bruno Langlois who doesn't want Clouseau found but she continues and finds Clouseau Sr, Clouseau's father. Is Clouseau alive or is he dead? Each interview has not-have-seen or famous clips from the previous movies (since Peter Sellers has sadly passed away) as Marie continues to get a honest view or impression of the great French detective…

Things do not work out the way the inspector wanted and people keep being murdered, and each time innocent Maria seems to be the killer. But with someone important wanting Clouseau and nobody else to cover this case, his tolerance-challenged boss Charles Dreyfuss is close to losing his mind when casualties keep turning up. And Clouseau keeps on causing trouble without knowing it…

One of the Bonds, whose real name is Evelyn Tremble, is sent to take on Le Chiffre in a game of baccarat, but all the Bonds get more than they can handle, especially when the ultimate villain turns out to related to Sir James. Ursula Andress costars as Vesper, who has her own agenda, but who knows what it is? (Certainly none of the directors or screenwriters!)
