The 2013 MTV EMAs (also known as the MTV Europe Music Awards) was held at the Ziggo Dome, Amsterdam, Netherlands, on 10 November 2013. This was the first time since 1997 when the awards where held in the Netherlands. The nominees were announced live on MTV Netherlands at 12:55 (CET) on September 17, 2013. The nominees press launch aired at various times throughout the day on localized MTV channels across Europe. Fans can vote for nominated artists from their respective territory starting Tuesday 17 September. The local winners will receive an EMA award and also move on to the next phase of voting starting Friday 25 October and compete for the regional title. The 10 official Worldwide Act nominees from each region will then be announced on Monday 1 November, and battle for the Worldwide Act Award.

Picking up the storyline from where Singam ended, Duraisingam (Suriya) has gone undercover after meeting the Home Minister and is working as an NCC officer in a school in Thoothukudi. Sathya (Hansika Motwani) is a student who falls for Duraisingam though he is waiting to marry Kavya (Anushka Shetty), his love interest from the previous film. Susai (Santhanam), a local who works in the same school shows Duraisingam parts of Thoothukudi and also tells him about the rouge elements dominating the area helping him in his surveillance. Bhai (Mukesh Rishi) and Thangaraj, are two criminals who control the area.How Singam handles Bhai and Thangaraj to capture the International convict Danny forms the crux of the story.

Missed Connections is a comedic romance about a guy named Neal who finds himself knee-deep in a quarter-life crisis. At the suggestion of his two real best friends, Barry and George, Neal sets up fake dates with women who have placed Missed Connections ads online. He goes on the dates but only watches from a distance as the girl waits for someone to show up. Just as the girl is about to leave, Neal comes over and tells her that he wouldn't have stood her up. Checkmate. Neals plan is going really well, until he meets Jane and then keeps meeting her. As it turns out, Jane may be just as damaged and devious as he is.
