Mat (Piyathida) a mother forced to raise her son Tan (Jirayu) on her own after being widowed early in her marriage. In this Mat gets help from Watt (Noppachai), who falls in love with her for long time. Tan is expected to be like his dad but instead wants to escape what he regards as the narrow confines of his mother's world. His dreams look like coming true when he meets June (Jarinporn), a free spirit who knows what she wants from life. The young woman quickly makes up for what Tan feels he's missing and in the process helps him reconnect with his mother.

Thee is one of millions in Bangkok that cannot afford a home, much less a spacious home on his meager staff salary. One day, a huge job opportunity knocks on his door and Thee accepts a position as the new Head of Marketing at a company located in northern Thailand – Chiang Mai. Thee believes that his wife, Parn, and his two kids Nan and Nat will have a happier life at "LADDALAND", everyone can be together and enjoy the warmth and comfort of their new home. Little does he realize that in the same evening a Burmese maid is brutally murdered at a neighbor's house. Savagely beaten, her mangled body is found stuffed inside the refrigerator.
