The Jade and the Pearl / Fei tsui ming chu (2010)

Princess Yan and General Cheng first meet when one insults the other at a local matchmaking party. Soon after that, Cheng is assigned to escort the princess to get married to the prince of the Far Far Away nation. On the road, the two enemies grow to become friends and even fall in love. However, a group of bandits – led by San Niang – attack the convoy, and the two lovers are separated amidst the chaos. While San Niang kidnaps Cheng and falls in love with him in the process, a failing writer takes in Yan after a nasty fall causes her to lose her memory.

You never know what you have until it's gone. Anthony is about to leave Dalian, the only place he's known and lived since he was born, to study for a business degree in Melbourne. His best friend and soulmate Ying is about to leave too, to Japan to study sound design. In his new environment, Anthony meets a bunch of energetic new friends and a landlady who loves to paint. The youngsters have all travelled far to chase their dreams, and Anthony decides to start a blog to document his experiences. Despite being oceans apart from Ying, Anthony wants to share every moment with the girl he grew up with, and wonders if that's what constitutes "love". Whenever he has a free moment, he records sounds from the environment, or animals he encounters to send to Ying, keeping in touch in their own special way.

Poker King is a welcome return to a good old Hong Kong genre favorite – the gambling comedy. Louis Koo and Lau Ching Wan team up again after Overheard for lighter fare, facing off as rival poker players in gambling capital Macau. All in for both the gambling and the comedy, the tanned duo preen, bicker, mug, and throw down the cards for a light and entertaining casino escapade. Ingenue Stephy Tang (La Lingerie) not to mention Cherrie Ying, Josie Ho, Jo Koo, and model Kama bring some sass and eye candy, while Wong Yau Nam, Eddie Cheung, and Lam Suet add comedic support.
