Set in the near future in Japan. Nobuhiko Komyoji is an expert on robots. He leads the "ARK Project" and creates Robot Kikaider (Jingi Irie). After Nobuhiko Komyoji's mysterious death, Robot Kikaider begins to fight against the "ARK Project" which has gone astray from the project's original mission.
