Die 3-teilige Doku-Serie entführt den Zuschauer in die Welt des grössten Regenwaldes der Erde. In eine Region, die den ersten Europäern, die sie betraten, Furcht einflösste. Für sie war der Amazonas eine grüne Hölle. Heute weiss man, wie artenreich und einmalig das Gebiet ist und welch wichtige Rolle es für das Klima spielt. Drei Jahre verbrachte das Produktions-Team am Amazonas. Auf einer Fläche, etwa 20mal so gross wie Deutschland, legten sie tausende Kilometer zu Fuss, in Booten, in Flugzeugen oder Helikoptern zurück. Die Mühe lohnte sich: Zeitlupen, stabilisierte Flugaufnahmen, Makro- und Unterwassershots sowie Kranfahrten lieferten 400 Stunden Filmmaterial in HD Qualität, darunter einzigartige Aufnahmen und spektakuläres, nie zuvor gefilmtes Tierverhalten.

In German cinema screens out the documentary "Russia. In the realm of tigers, bears and volcanoes." This window into Russia, unknown to Western man, and even to many Russians. With these words begins the documentary "Russia. In the realm of tigers, bears and volcanoes" of the wild country. The film comes out this week in theaters in Germany. Russian viewers could see footage of him on their television screens: 90-minute reel of film is based on a six-part television program "Wild Russia". Telefilm was made in collaboration with British broadcaster National Geographic, German broadcasters NDR and WDR, the Russian "First Channel" and several other sponsors. A group of German filmmakers headed Jorn Revere (Jörn Röver), a biologist by training, journalist, director and producer, specializing in scientific and popular films about the flora and fauna. In the realm of tigers, bears and volcanoes," shows how this is already clear from the title, only the natural landscapes and animals.
