The 51st Annual Country Music Association Awards, commonly known as the 51st CMA Awards, was held on November 8, 2017, at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. The ceremony recognizes some of the best country music released during the eligibility period (between July 1, 2016 and June 30, 2017). It is the twelfth ceremony to be held at the arena, the eighteenth to be held in November and the tenth night to be co-hosted by country stars Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood. The ceremony will be directed by Paul Miller. The nominations for the 51st CMA Awards were announced on September 4, 2017, on Good Morning America by Lauren Alaina, Dustin Lynch and Brothers Osborne. The nominees were lead by Miranda Lambert and followed by Keith Urban and Little Big Town.

The 2014 Billboard Music Awards is a music award ceremony that was held on May 18, 2014, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. It aired live on ABC at 8:00/7:00 PM Central.[1] The show was hosted by Ludacris. Justin Timberlake won seven of his 11 nominations, including top artist, top male artist and top Billboard 200 Artist for his The 20/20 Experience. Leading the nominees were Imagine Dragons and Lorde, each with 12 nominations. Katy Perry had 10 nominations, including top artist, top female and Hot 100 artist. Miley Cyrus received nine nominations, including top artist, top female, Hot 100 artist and top streaming artist. Macklemore & Ryan Lewis had eight nominations, including top duo/group. At the ceremony, Jennifer Lopez received the Icon Award, which recognizes lifetime achievement and an artist's remarkable and enduring contribution to popular music. She becomes the fourth artist and the first woman to obtain the award, joining past winners including Neil Diamond, Stevie Wonder and Prince. The 2014 Billboard Music Awards is produced by Dick Clark Productions. Allen Shapiro and Mike Mahan are executive producers, with Barry Adelman, Mark Bracco, and Larry Klein as producers.
