Detective Shunsaku Aoshima is now promoted to a section chief at Wangan Police Station. Everyone at the police station soon gets nervous about the wedding and the police station becomes chaotic. One evening, she has an one night stand with surgeon Wataru Makino who is addicted to sex. Ayumi later realizes she is now pregnant because of that one night stand. When she tells Wataru that she is pregnant, Wataru believes she is a making a bad April Fools joke. Wataru Makino then takes flight attendant Reiko out to an Italian restaurant. He doesn't know that Ayumi Nitta is also going to the same restaurant.

A kidnapping during an environmental summit meeting held in Wangan Precinct's turf sends the entire police station into panic mode. Hours later, a body killed by a police-issued gun is discovered nearby, and young police official Torikao is brought in by headquarters to take charge of the investigation. Like in all headquarters-led investigations, local detectives are forced to become foot soldiers, much to the chagrin of the cops under recently promoted section chief Aoshima. However, when the police discovers that the son of a Wangan cop has been kidnapped, the entire station unites in solidarity to solve the case, even if it may come at the cost of losing one of their own.
