With only his fourth film At the End of Daybreak, Malaysia director Ho Yuhang (Rain Dogs) has established himself as an up-and-coming talent in Asian Cinema. A combination of film noir and domestic drama, Ho's uncompromising vision of modern Malaysian life features unsettling performances by veteran actress Kara Hui, who won the Best Supporting Actress Awards at both the Golden Horse and the Asian Film Awards, young actress Ng Meng Hui, who won the Best Newcomer prize at the Asian Film Awards. Leading man Tsui Tin Yau (AV) ties the story together as the desperate youth whose unwitting transgressions lead to shocking consequences.
