Katey invites Javier to enter a Latin Ballroom Contest with her in the local Palace club to help him win the prize money. To do so, she secretly meets him in the La Rosa Negra nightclub where he teaches her the Cuban "dirty dancing" style. They become closer and closer, but when Castro takes over, Katey's family decides to flee for the U.S. leaving Katey to make the ultimate decision.
