Kip Desmond has everything: a thriving career, a beautiful wife, an affluent lifestyle. But when the waitress with whom he's having a casual fling is accidentally killed, he desperately turns to loser and lifetime friend Marvin Croat for help. Marvin agrees to make the body disappear but the reality of performing this gruesome act drives him into a state of depression and guilt. He turns to Kip for solace but becomes increasingly angered at Kip's nonchalance. Marvin begins asking for favors which Kip initially fulfills, but as the demands grow, Kip refuses to give into blackmail, forcing Marvin to resort to more violent methods of getting the payback he feels he deserves. This leads both men to murderous acts neither had ever suspected themselves capable of.
