A detour off Exit 14 leads four spring breakers to a rural service station in search of directions where they encounter a charming store clerk, Roy Toussaint (Tom Sizemore), who aids them in their time of need. Shortly after befriending Roy, the college students suffer car trouble which leaves them stranded on the side of the road and in need of his assistance once more. Left without transportation, Roy offers Laurie and her friends lodging at his family home until he can repair the vehicle. After a short tour of the home, Roy recalls a ghost story about a murder that happened in the home, a tale Laurie and her friends explore after a wild night of drinking. A haunting story, which ultimately foretells the tragic events they will face as they desperately try to escape the trappings of the mysterious exit.
