  Thats cuz Nolan shot about 45 minutes or an hour of the movie in imax, which is the full 1920*1080, the rest in normal 1920*800.
  If you watched The Dark Knight (2008), the same thing happened in it too for the action scenes. 🙂

  I prefer Wiki to, there the best.
  Dose any one know why Dark Knight Rises switches between full screen and widescreen throughout the film?

  Thanks for WiKi release.. I prefer WiKi too.. They always have the higher video bitrate and they don't put in any of the extra languages and commentary etc to waste space as I don't need them 🙂

    i can’t say which group is better for all their released. personally, i prefer wiki, cuz wiki has stable quality. they barely make mistakes during encode process.
