Murder on D Street / D zaka no satsujin jiken (2015)
Mystery
An owner of a soba noodle shop is found dead at the D. Hill. The police concluded the death was an apparent suicide. However, a brilliant but eccentric private detective Kogoro Akechi and his wife Fumiyo sees that it is a murder case, not a suicide, and start their own investigation. They notice something weird is going on in the secondhand bookshop and gradually, hideous love-hate relationships and immeasurable passion and lust surrounding the wife of the bookshop is revealed. What is the truth of the murder case? This year marks the 50th anniversary of Ranpo Edogawa's death and his masterpiece is adapted to the screen for the first time in 16 years.
