Kyoichi (Issey Ogata) is a former principal. He lives alone now after the death of his wife. When his wife was alive she liked to feed stray cat Mii. Kyoichi though doesn't like Mii coming around his house and standing in front of the butsudan (Buddhist altar). One day, Mii suddenly stops appearing at Kyoichi's house. Kyoichi begins to worry about Mii and tries to find the cat. While searching for the cat, he discovers that there are other people also looking for Mii.

Samao Daikoku's (Shota Sometani) family register was taken which keeps him from escaping the underground life that he has led. To get away once and for all, Samao Daikoku breaks into Daikichi Ebisu's (Kiyohiko Shibukawa) coin locker to steal gold. Daikichi Ebisu is involved in a criminal organization. In the locker, Samao Daikoku finds a hard disk containing personal information on runaways, homeless people, bankrupt people and prostitutes. He hides the hard disk, but is locked up by Daikichi Ebisu. There, he sees a prostitute, Ami Nanmu (Erina Mizuno) and he also faces an evil gang boss, Kan Senju (Gou Ayano). Samao Daikoku is tortured by the gang boss. The mystery behind Samao Daikoku's past is revealed.

In the early 1990s, experiments were carried out secretly in Japan. Two different methods were used in the experiments. One method involved forcing stress upon expecting parents and when the baby was born, provoke the baby into mutations and develop their special abilities. The other method involved birth to babies having abilities of animals and insects. The special abilities were derived from gene manipulation. Subaru, Saya and others were born from those experiments. Subaru (Masaki Okada) possesses incredible strength and vision. Saya (Riko Narumi) possesses super hearing abilities. They both grew up in the same facility. They work for Koichiro Watase (Tsuyoshi Ihara) who is the senior Vice-Minister of Foreign Affairs and has lofty ambitions as a politician. Koichiro Watase then orders them to find the runaway daughter of a powerful politician. The runaway girl has in her possession a secret file. Subaru, Saya and others become involved in the slaughter group "Ageha." The group is led by Manabu (Shota Sometani). Based on the novel "Strayer's Chronicle" by Takayoshi Honda (first published April 5, 2012 by Shueisha Inc.).

Yuki Hirano (Shota Sometani) fails his college entrance exam, but he's not all that worried about it. As a slacker, he figures he can take it easy for a year and maybe re-take the test. His girlfriend Reina though decides to move on without him. Later, Yuki notices a flyer. There's a pretty girl (Masami Nagasawa) on the cover with the caption "Come Work With Us." Yuki decides to take up the offer. He'll have to travel to a small remote town, that doesn't even have cell phone coverage, and take training classes for 30 days. Koichi (Sato) and Atsumi (Ayase) are childhood friends who have become lovers. Despite this closeness when Atsumi attempts suicide Koichi is at a loss to understand the circumstances that drove her to do such a thing. Now she is in a coma and Koichi needs to find out the reason. Since Koichi is a neurosurgeon he has access to the latest studies and so he takes part in a medical procedure that will allow him to enter Atsumi's subconscious. Through 'sensing', a type of neurosurgical procedure allowing contact with the intentional aspect of a comatose patient's mind, Koichi tries to discover why Atsumi tried to kill herself, and to bring her back to consciousness. When he enters her mind she asks him to find a picture which she drew as a child. It is the key to a suppressed memory connected to a childhood trauma, an incident buried in their past which will bring their minds together and allow him to get close to truly knowing his love.

Himizu (2012)

Sumida and his schoolmate Keiko are 14 year old school kids living a dystopian existence where each of their parents' hopes and encourages them to die. Set in tsunami-hit areas of Japan about May 2011, which is used as a backdrop, the story follows roughly that of the manga of the same name wherein Sumida fights frequently with his father, is abandoned by his mother and tends to reject friendly advances of others. Eventually, he kills his father and then, assuming his life is ruined, attempts to improve society by killing "bad" people. Although not immediately obvious, what instead happens is that he attacks psychotic and violent characters, while he instead learns from Keiko and the Yakuza and people who befriended him that he himself has become "sick", eventually breaking free of the cycle of violence, but without a complete resolution of the issues raised during the movie before its end.
