In the midst of all the romantic confusion, Amelia has to deal with her eccentric boss, a life coach named Dr. Wellburn, and her overbearing parents. Bread and Butter aims to be a character study of one neurotic, sexually inexperienced girl being thrown into the gauntlet of romantic pursuit.
