Independent Commission Against Corruption investigator William Luk and Joint Financial Intelligence Unit officer Lau Po-keung are respectively investigating a corruption and money laundering case, but are unable to find any clues. At this time, Ching Tak-ming receives a report from Eva Ng, claiming Luk has accepted a bribe of HK$12 million. Unable to provide an explanation, Luk was immediately suspended from his duties. Lau discovers that Luk was framed which is inextricably linked to the money laundering case he has been investigating. At the same time, Lau also suspects bank director Yau Chi-san assisting the mastermind of a criminal organisation, Wong Hoi-wo, in money laundering. Chinese Anti-Corruption Bureau Director Hong Liang arrives in Hong Kong and to provide important intel for Lau, revealing that mainland Chinese corrupt officials are involved in the money laundering case. Luk risks his safety to collect evidence to prove his innocence, but was imprisoned.

Lung and Chi-Yeung are two eccentric hot-blooded young men leading a devil-may-care life. They deem themselves as heroes that can save the earth. In the meantime, a monster from Lung's favorite animation appears in the city out of reason and turns people into zombies. The outbreak of this zombie crisis is followed by a widespread chaos all round. Even Lung's neighbors have become zombies as well. Lung's father happens to be out of town traveling with Shan. And Chan-Yat has gone missing too. Lung risks his life to break into the infected town in order to take her back home and meanwhile realizes he is merely a loser and slick talker. But he decides not to avoid anymore and to fight a battle against zombies tonight.

A cult movie nicely directed and plotted. You can just consume the sugar or savour the hidden bitterness.
