Silent Code / BBS xiang min de zheng yi (2012)
Drama
Silent Code is set in the world of BBS (Bulletin Board System), an online forum community platform that is very popular among Taiwan youth. Idol drama stars Chen Bo Lin (In Time with You), Ivy Chen (Skip Beat!), Shiou Jieh Kai (Black & White) and Puff Kuo (Miss Rose) headline this curious cautionary tale about online conflicts with real world consequences. Seamlessly blending live-action and CG animation into a cyber suspense inspired by true events, the film bridges the cyber world and BBS culture with real-world scenarios. Fittingly enough, Silent Code marks the feature debut of director Hero Lin Shi Yong, the creator of the Woodman animation series which is famous in Taiwan's online community. Righteous journalist Lan (Puff Kuo) is committed to reporting the truth and fighting for justice, but in reality, her job consists mainly of taking orders from her superiors and searching for news online. One day, she stumbles upon a popular BBS forum dedicated to sharing dreams. The board owner Xiang (Ivy Chen) incurred the wrath of the internet community after a video got leaked, and the witchhunt is pushing her to the edge. Lan sets out to find the culprit behind the leak, and clues seem to point to Xiang's hacker ex-boyfriend King (Chen Bo Lin). The more Lan investigates, the more people get dragged into the case and the murkier the truth becomes. Who is really behind this internet war?

About Last Night… (1986)
Comedy | Drama | Romance
Danny (Rob Lowe) and Debbie (Demi Moore) are in love–on a strictly casual basis–in this sexy comedy. Based on David Mamet's stage play 'Sexual Perversity in Chicago', director Edward Zwick's 'About Last Night…' is a funny, provocative, and often insightful look at young romance in the 1980s. At a neighborhood bar, Danny, a swinging single, meets Debbie, a bright young advertising executive who happens to be sleeping with her boss. Sparks fly, and the pair go home together to enjoy what they think is going to be a meaningless night of sex, preferring casual sex to commitment. Danny and Debbie both enjoy their own freedom, work, and friendships. Debbie relies on the support of her roommate, Joan (Elizabeth Perkins in her film debut), a cynical kindergarten teacher, while Danny is constantly exchanging dirty stories and work anecdotes with his coworker and best friend, Bernie (James Belushi). Although they desire to keep their independence, Danny and Debbie begin spending more and more time with each other and finally end up moving in together, quickly becoming domesticated in spite of their fears. However, their whirlwind romance gets the better of them and, although they have strong feelings for one another, they break up. Emotionally devastated, they both attempt to move on while realizing that they may have had something more important than their supposed freedom. This in-depth look at the difficulties of modern relationships is insightful and sexy, featuring palpable chemistry between the two seductive stars.

Godzilla, Mothra and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack / Gojira, Mosura, Kingu Gidorâ: Daikaijû sôkôgeki (2001)
Action | Adventure | Drama | Fantasy | Horror | Thriller
Strange incidents occur when an American submarine has been destroyed by a mysterious force at sea off the shores of Guam. Only Admiral Tachibana was certain that behind the disaster was none other than the destructive King of the Monsters, Godzilla! 50 years after his attack on Tokyo in 1954, Godzilla has mysteriously returned to life to destroy Japan, and General Tachibana, whose parents died in the monster's destructive wake, was prepared for his return to protect Japan from yet another tragic disaster, but is dismissed by the overly confident Japanese government, who underestimate Godzilla's power. But to further prove Tachibana's claim, his daughter Yuri, who works for the TV news program "Digital Q," investigates strange phenomena in three separate areas in Japan (two of which involve the deaths of immoral youths), and meets a mysterious old man named Isayama, who proclaims that aside from his infamous nuclear origins, Godzilla is an accumulation of vengeful souls (of both Japanese and non-Japanese) abandoned to die in the Pacific War, and thus, mere weapons cannot kill him. While Tachibana has now been vindicated by the government, Isayama awakens the Three Sacred Guardian Beasts of Yamato, which protected Japan in its ancient past, and were then put into hibernation in the aforementioned three areas of Japan. The three monsters, King Ghidorah (sky), Mothra (water) and Baragon (earth), fight the ravaging Godzilla, while Tachibana also prepares to go into battle against his old radioactive nemesis…
