In this remake of the 1987 Tsui Hark film, a young man Yan Chixia decides to become an exorcist and heads for the haunted Nanyak Temple in Black Mountain. He experienced many dangerous battles with demons in Black Mountain. His sword became more fearful, and he gets more powerful and confident. He overcomes all the spirits and monsters until the day he falls in love with the beautiful ghost Nie Xiaoqian and their sad story begins.
