Overheard 3 / Sit yan fung wan 3 (2014)
Thriller
In the 1970s, the Hong Kong government enacted a policy that granted each male heir of New Territories villagers the privilege to build a house without paying any dues to the government. Since then, those grants have become a commodity that village leaders can profit from. Luk is one of those leaders. However, the Luk family's NT Land Group shocks the village when it decides to go public thanks to an ambitious residential high-rise project made possible with the grants it bought up and the help of a businessman from Mainland China. Bitter over not receiving a share of the new company, the Luk Brothers set a plan in motion to grab the company shares they should've gotten. Meanwhile, Jau, one of the Luk Brothers, has been released from prison after serving five years for committing a murder that paved the way for the high-rise project. On the surface, he appears to be rejoining the Luk Brothers, but he's secretly working with technology expert Joe to spy on the four men for someone from his past.
